Kyla always loved the arts. She has been dancing, singing, and painting since her youth. Her family is the biggest influence and support. Having been exposed to art and photography by her Mother, Kathleen Mockler, and Grandparents, Chet and Barbra Heinz, at a young age she instantly knew she wanted to pursue all the aspects of photography. Kyla received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an Art History minor, concentrating on photography and painting, from William Paterson University. Growing up in a camera shop and having an artistic family and friends has helped Kyla develop her own creative style of art. Her approach focuses on combining dance & movement, music & sounds, and color. Through her photographs she designs an expression of the world from a unique point of view. Each photograph she takes brings to life a part of her. Kyla portrays her vision of her world and how she sees it.
"One's emotions and senses are the most valuable gifts we as humans are given. We should take advantage of these gifts and use all of them in the areas of our life that we love. " -Kyla
